Sports Festival of the Student Athletes
In the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, thanks to the great efforts of our National Leader, Hero-Arkadag and our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, our country is further expanding its cooperation with the prestigious International organizations around the world. In the International Year of Peace and Trust, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan and the International Day of University Sports, from September 15 to 25, 2025 our higher educational establishment, which is a member of the International Association of Physical Education and Sports Universities, organized mass sports competitions entitled “Sports and Youth – the Foundation of a Healthy Society”. The traditional sports competitions in volleyball, basketball, and futsal not only reveal masters but also demonstrate that sports lead to the great developments. The students from the higher educational establishments of our country will demonstrate their skills by competing in various sports. The competitions became for our athletes a stage of preparation to the international games.
The purpose of the competitions is to widely involve the young people in sports, develop mass physical education and high-performance sports, the Olympic movement, promote a healthy lifestyle, and widely celebrate the national and international holidays. The objectives of the competitions are to demonstrate the importance of the principles of a healthy lifestyle and the initiatives to develop mass sports promoted by our National Leader and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, to develop sports in Turkmenistan, to educate youth in a healthy spirit, to develop high-level sports, and to widely promote physical education and sports, as well as a healthy lifestyle among the students of the higher educational establishments.
The sports competitions will continue on September 20, in conjunction with the National forum “Sport – the Guarantee of Peace and Trust” with the participation of a representative of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) via digital means, on the occasion of the International Day of University Sports.
We would like to wish our Hero-Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who create ample opportunities for raising physically strong and well-educated generations with a healthy spirit and developing physical culture and sports, sound health, long life, and great success to their work carried out for the benefit of our country and nation!
