Towards New Achievements
In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, Turkmenistan places great emphasis on educating a knowledgeable and patriotic generation and developing sports. Over the past year, Turkmen athletes achieved remarkable success, winning 977 medals at international competitions. Student-athletes of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports participated in 58 international events, earning a total of 204 medals, along with 878 medals at national competitions.
These achievements strengthen Turkmenistan’s international reputation as a dynamically developing sports nation. In the Year of International Peace and Trust, 14 representatives of the institute were awarded state honors, reflecting high recognition of athletes and coaches. The institute also made a valuable contribution to organizing international competitions and supporting the success of the “Arkadag” football club.
Faculty members and students actively promote international cooperation in sports science through participation in projects, seminars, and conferences. A cooperation agreement was signed with the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism, and more than 50 lecturers improved their professional qualifications through international training programs.
Students achieved prize places in international and national academic competitions, while 15 books and the proceedings of an international scientific conference were published. Consistent implementation of national programs under the leadership of the Esteemed President ensures further development of the national sports system.
