Healthy and Inspired Women – The Foundation of a Happy Future
The achievements attained in all spheres of our beloved Homeland are also clearly reflected in physical education and sports. Turkmen athletes successfully compete in international tournaments, raising our state flag high. In these historic advancements, the worthy contribution of every citizen of our society, including women, is particularly noteworthy. In Turkmen society, women have always been held in high esteem, and broad opportunities are created for their creative initiatives. The happy women of our sovereign state actively participate not only in political, economic, social, and cultural fields, but also in sports. Our female athletes achieve high results in national and international competitions, setting an inspiring example for the younger generation.
At the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, with the joint organization of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, and the Kopetdag Hakimlik of Ashgabat city, the opening ceremony of sports competitions among female teachers and female students of higher educational institutions of our country was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day under the title “Healthy and Inspired Women – The Foundation of a Happy Future.”
Sports competitions among female athletes in the disciplines of 3x3 basketball, chess, table tennis, and volleyball will continue from March 2 to March 7, 2026.
